I love Nelson Tasman
Milan Smets from Belgium spent 4 months living in Kaiteriteri and made this inspiring video from his walk of the Abel Tasman Coast track.
#FindYourSpring #NelsonTasman
This is just one activity of many in this extraordinary region. Spring is an inspiring time to visit - rejuvenate before the summer rush. Or go on an adventure if that's your buzz. Yes we might be 'gushing' now, but did we mention divine locally produced cuisine, world class mountain biking and Tasman's Great Trail, Art (check out the two-week Nelson Arts Festival in October!), boutique wineries, craft beer and cider complete with NZ Cider Festival, and some of the most stunning coastline to kayak/cruise/sail/sky dive over ...

Polly and I just spent three wonderful days in Nelson at the Aloha Lodge Motel in Tahuna. The rooms and the service was fantastic with all the amenities you could wish for: spa bath, sauna, free wifi, free continental breakfast each morning plus many other items. The manager, Tony Williams couldn't do enough for us to make sure our stay was enjoyable. His warmth and whacky sense of humour were a bonus. This is THE place to stay if you're visiting Nelson. Thanks Tony and staff for everything. ... See MoreSee Less

Great way to go between beach and town! The BEST news this summer is the SUMMER BEACH BUS!! For just $2 per adult and $1 per child you can zip between Nelson iSite and Tahuna Beach. The bright red double-decker bus leaves Nelson iSite on the hour and leaves Tahuna Beach Holiday Park on the half-hour, 9am - 8pm.

Please SHARE this post with your friends and USE this bus over the summer. We need to demonstate what an asset this is so that it keeps operating next year too.

Thanks so much for this awesome initiative, Tahuna Beach Kiwi Holiday Park and Motel, Nelson City Council, Uniquely Nelson and Nelson i-SITE

Rocked into Nelson with no plans and ended up staying for three nights at the Aloha Lodge.

Our affable host, Tony, and his chatty little dog, Mika, made us feel most welcome and very comfortable during our stay. Tony provided lots of fabulous suggestions for local sites to see and things do around Nelson, plus his local knowledge came in very handy when we thinking of going out for lunch or dinner or just hanging out for a great coffee!
And when we just wanted to veg out after a big day out, there was a very comfy couch in the common room with a huge TV and fireplace where I was caught drifting off late one afternoon.

Thanks for looking after us Tony (and Mika - woof!) and the girls at the Aloha Lodge.
